About

Ohakune is a fantastic year-round holiday destination, with just as much to offer in the warmer seasons as in winter. At Ohakune TOP 10, we welcome guests from all over New Zealand and other parts of the world; some who are looking for a sense of adventure ever so slightly off the beaten track, and others who are eager for a relaxing holiday away from the crowds and the fuss of the usual holiday hotspots.

We are proud to have been awarded the TOP 10 Supreme Award two years in a row—a first for any TOP 10 Holiday Park in New Zealand. Located just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of town, our award-winning property caters to solo travellers, couples, families, friends, school groups and those travelling for work. Whether you’re looking for somewhere safe to pitch a tent with all the modern conveniences or somewhere with a large cabin that can sleep your whole family, Ohakune TOP 10 has a place for you.

One of the best things about Ohakune Top 10 Holiday Park is its enviable location. At the back of the property, you can cross the Mangateitei Stream via footbridge and enjoy a short stroll into the town centre through native bush. After a pleasant and peaceful 2-minute walk, you’ll find cafes, restaurants, shops and the main supermarket where you can stock up on supplies.

The facilities and features of the park are highly regarded by guests, with many returning year after year to enjoy their holidays here. Our Ohakune accommodation is also pet friendly – just make sure you talk to us about this in advance of making your booking.

In Ohakune, you’ll never struggle to find something to do to pass the time. Travellers are fast waking up to the realisation that Ohakune is no longer just a convenient and lively winter base for avid skiers and snowboarders, but a friendly town with loads of character, enveloped in some of New Zealand’s most beautiful, unique and welcoming natural surrounds.

Take a long, scenic hike or a ride one of our many local mountain biking tracks, or kayak along the majestic Whanganui River.   No matter how you choose to spend your time in Ohakune, you’re sure to appreciate the beauty of our wild and diverse landscapes here in the heart of the North Island.

See you soon,

Catherine.
